Dorus Hotel - Dubai

It had central location close to Fish Roundabout. It was in an excellant area and there where bars and a restaurant.

The rooms with the furniture.

The rooms were good but the staff were not very frineldy or helpful which was disappointing. Some of the TV channels listed did not work either. Air con did not always work effectively which is not good in hot countries. Bit noisy at night.

I felt the hotel was good value for money

Perfect and hospitable accommodation with good setting near the restaurant, great malls and a night club under-or-near the hotel. Centrally located near all attractions. Besides, easy to get to Al Ghurair Center...

well, after an awful stay in york international hotel in dubai i reserved through your website another hotel that i also ddt know anything about, but Montreal hotel turned out to be a clean, nice and decent hotel for a reasonable price.

the bathroom was not clean enough

Hotel staff help ,and hotel ride back to Dubai airport without any charges.

Yes,because the hotel is an older building I noticed a couple of moquitos,and couple of bugs in the bathroom area. at least the hotel should disinfect,and sterilize the bathroom area once in a while,to get rid of these insects. I do not consider this Hotel as a 3 star ,I rate this Hotel as 2 star Hotel.

The fast response from the staff was commendable.

The room was unclean, with a broken bathroom door that wouldn't lock. To. It reminded me of a nightmare, especially since the noise from the supposed nightclub made it hard to rest.

Good service and the prize is very good

Wonderful good budget hotel, particularly good views, magnificent location near to Al Ghurair entire mall. Comfortable beds and climate control, TV and ironing facilities. Location just next door to other restaurants and a night club under-or-near the hotel.

Staying at dorus was pleasant, especially due to its great location near public transport. I particularly enjoyed the bar, where divya. Moderately priced food and drinks added to the experience. It's the little things.

i wouldn't recommend the single room.

Can you imagine it took 3 calls to housekeeping and 3 calls to the front desk to get towels in the room?? Housekeeping really was insufficient. My room was dirty, almost filthy, upon first entering. It hadn't been vacuumed, there were large pieces of trash on the floor. The refrigerator was dirty. Housekeeping did not even answer the phone. The nightclub in the basement is extremely loud making it impossible for anyone to sleep even on the second floor. Also, the front desk personnel were surly, at best. Absolutely not recommended.

Ali the man from Housekeeping was very good and took care of us.

At reception we were only allowed 1 room key, due to a problem with the service. Everything was difficult. They wanted to retain our ID's until we left, but we refused. (I am not sure that is even legal and saw many passports from other residents in the drawer. For a room with 3 people booked, there was only one bathtowel and one handtowel upon arrival. Breakfast needed work, as I am not sure it is safe to eat boiled eggs that have the shell cracked and have been out for a length of time. The second day the eggs were fried and still concern about the food safety, as they too were left out for a length of time.
